Greetings Reddit! Last week the old Thursday board game group met for the first time in a year and a half and it was a great success. This week we're gonna be at Hex West again for anyone who'd like to join - Thursday from 7pm to 10/10:30, playing mostly lighter games that can be taught/learned in just a few minutes.
Anyone is welcome! Hex is on Broadway between 113th and 114th St and they charge $10 for unlimited play. I'll be sure the staff know where to point us out, so just ask!
And, AND! I'm hosting a park day this Saturday at 1pm in Central Park. I'll bring my own games plus a snack or two and invite others to do likewise, but if you don't have any games, don't hesitate to come! The location in the park is East Meadow by 5th Ave - enter the park by Robert Bendheim Playground, proceed keeping the Meadow on your left, then look for us under the trees around the big sandpit. Don't be afraid to drop in late as we'll play until around 5:30 or 6 when everybody's legs are good and stiff and it's time to be thinking about dinner. :D
Lastly, I'm 30s/f for anyone worried about feeling out of place (Reddit demographics being what they are) and we're all happy to teach games to anyone unfamiliar. Seriously, all are welcome.
Look forward to playing with you!
This is a private event.
