manhattanend2end is New York City's ultimate bucket list walking tour experience - an epic 13.4 mile, 6-hour trek that covers the entire length of the island. When we say "the entire length" we're not kidding - you say you've been uptown? Harlem? 125th Street? - ha! As we walk south, we won't hit central Harlem until we're a full 95 blocks into our journey. We'll start our epic stroll near 220th Street in leafy Inwood - a park-filled and picturesque neighborhood on Manhattan's northernmost tip that's little-known even by most NYC natives. As we steadily make our way downtown, we'll pass through more than 30 distinct neighborhoods and districts - from the well-known (Greenwich Village, SoHo, Chinatown) to the not-so-much (Fort George, Hudson Yards, Tudor City). Though our route may vary somewhat depending on customer preferences and feedback, we'll always finish up in Battery Park on Manhattan's southern extremity - where everyone will be invited to join us for a celebratory (and complimentary) post-walk drink!
Along the way, you'll certainly spot many world-famous and eminently-Instagrammable sights and structures - but our tour tends to focus on two main goals. First, we focus on simply finishing the walk - we want everyone who starts off in Inwood with us to finish the day with a not-particularly-humble brag to friends about walking the entire length of Manhattan! Secondly, we focus on the unique and precious character of each neighborhood and district that we pass through - so though you may see Times Square or the Empire State Building, well-known landmarks such as these are not our primary concern. We want to show you the decades-old coffee shop that's around the corner from the Empire State...or that old school Cuban lunch counter down a side street in Times Square. We go well off the beaten tourist path and highlight places that even many locals remain blissfully unaware of. Join us as we explore the mom-and-pop shops, unique architecture, and authentic ethnic eateries that combine to make New York City the greatest city in the world!
